Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Princeps gloriosíssime, cæléstis milítiæ, sancte Michaël Archángele, defénde nos in prælio adversus príncipes et potestátes, advérsus mundi rectóres tenebrárum harum, contra spirituália nequítiæ, in celéstibus. Veni in auxilium hóminum; quos Deus ad imáginem similitúdinis suæ fecit, et a tyránnide diáboli emit prétio magno. Te custódem et patrónum sancta veneratur Ecclésia; tibi trádidit Dóminus ánimas redemptórum in supérna felicitáte locándas. Deprecáre Deum pacis, ut cónterat sátanam sub pédibus nostris, ne ultra váleat captivos tenére hómines, et Ecclésia nocére. Offer nostras preces in conspéctu Altíssimi, ut cito antícipent nos misericórdiæ Dómini, et apprehéndas dracónem, serpéntem antíquum qui est diábolus et sátanas, et ligátum mittas in abyssum, ut non sedúcat ámplius gentes. 
 

O most glorious Prince of the heavenly militia, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness, in the heavens.  Come to the assistance of men; whom God has made to the image of His likeness, and has purchased from the tyranny of the Devil at a great price.  Holy Church venerates thee as Her guardian and patron; to thee has the Lord handed over the souls of the redeemed to be placed in supernal felicity.  Beseech the God of peace, to crush Satan beneath our feet, so that he may no longer prevail to hold men bound, and do injury to the Church.  Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that the mercies of the Lord may swiftly go before us, and apprehend the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and cast him bound into the abyss, so that he may no more seduce the nations.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Our God and Lord, with the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Theotokos, of blessed Michael the Archangel, of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and of All the Saints, 

si es in ordine exorcistae, dicas; alioquin omittas:

et sacra ministérii nostri auctoritáte confisi,  

deinde omnes simul, dicendo:

ad infestatiónes diabólicæ fraudis repelléndas secúri aggrédimur.

and having confided in the sacred authority of our ministry,

WE EXORCIZE thee, every unclean spirit, every satanic power, every assault of the infernal adversary, every legion, every diabolic congregation and sect, in the Name and by the Virtue of Our Lord Jesus + Christ, be uprooted and flee from the Church of God, from the souls established according to the image of God and redeemed by the Precious Blood of the Divine Lamb + .  Dare no more, cunning serpent, to deceive the human race, persecute the Church of God, drive out God's elect and sift them as wheat + .   The Most High God commands thee + , He to whom thou in thy great pride still presume to consider thyself similar; He who wants all men to be saved, and to come to the acknowledgement of the truth.  God the Father commands thee + ; God the Son commands thee + ; God the Holy Spirit commands thee + ; Christ, the Eternal Word of God made flesh, commands thee + , He who on behalf of the salvation of our race, destroyed by thy envy, humbled His very self, being made obedient even unto death; He who has built His Church upon the firm Rock and has declared that the gates of Hell shall never prevail against Her, being Himself with Her all days even unto the consummation of the age.  The Sacrament of the Cross commands thee + , as does also the virtue of all the Mysteries of the Christian Faith + .  The exalted Virgin Mary, the Theotokos, commands thee + , She who in Her humility didst crush thy most proud head from the first instant of Her Immaculate Conception.  The faith of the holy Apostles Peter and Paul and of all the other Apostles commands thee + .  The blood of the Martyrs, and the pious intercession of all the Saints commands thee + .

Ergo, draco maledicte et omnis légio diabólica adjurámus te per Deum + vivum, per Deum + verum, per Deum + sanctum, per Deum, qui sic diléxit mundum, ut Filium suum unigénitum daret, ut omnis, qui credit in eum, non péreat, sed hábeat vitam ætérnam: cessa decípere humánas creatúras, eisque æternæ perditiónis venénum propináre: désine Ecclesiæ nocére et ejus libertáti láqueos injícere. Therefore, cursed dragon and you, every diabolic legion, we adjure thee by the Living + God, by the True + God, by the Holy + God, by the God, who so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone, who believes in Him, might not perish, but have eternal life:  cease deceiving human creatures and giving them the venom of eternal perdition to drink:  desist in doing injury to the Church and in laying snares for Her liberty.  Be gone, Satan, inventor and master of every fallacy, enemy of human salvation.  Give place to Christ, in whom thou hast found nothing of thy works; give place to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, which Christ Himself has acquired with His own Blood.  Humble thyself beneath the powerful Hand of God; tremble throughout and flee, as we invoke the Holy and Terrible Name of Jesus, at which Hell does tremble, to which the Virtues and Powers and Dominations of Heaven have been subjected; which the Cherubim and Seraphim praise with unfailing voices, saying:  Holy, Holy, Holy, the Lord God Sabbaoth.

God of Heaven, God of Earth, God of the Angels, God of the Archangels, God of the Patriarchs, God of the Prophets, God of the Apostles, God of the Martyrs, God of Confessors, God of Virgins, God who has power to grant life after death, rest after labor:  because there is no God besides Thee, nor can there be any but Thee, the Creator of all things visible and invisible, of whose reign there shall be no end:  we do humbly supplicate the Majesty of Thy Glory, that Thou may deign to liberate us powerfully from every power of the infernal spirits, from their snare, their deception and their wickedness, and to keep us safe and sound.  Through Christ our Lord.
